A month ago, there was a rumour circulating about google’s supposed successor to the Nexus line of smartphone, the Pixel, made by HTC. Unfortunately, Google killed the Nexus line and replaced it with the new Pixel. This pair of smartphones will be the first of its line.

Today, Google unveiled the Pixel and Pixel XL. The Pixel has a screene size of 5" and the XL, 5.5”. Both come in 3 colours, the Very Silver, Quite Blue and Really Blue. The downside though is there is no microSD slot, which a lot of users were expecting before the launch. But look on the brighter side. According to a reliable source, these smartphones received a DxOMark score of 89, the highest rating ever awarded to a smartphone, above Apple iPhone 7’s 86. DxOMark has actually given the Pixel a higher camera score than the Canon EOS-1 D X Mark II, a DSLR.
