Display
The Galaxy Note7 comes with a 5.7" AMOLED screen at 518 pixel per inch (ppi) and with QHD resolution of 1,440 x 2560px. It also comes with the new "Corning Gorilla Glass 5". As Corning claims that,
"Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 raises the bar for protection against drops higher than ever, surviving 1.6-meter drops onto rough surfaces up to 80% of the time. Plus, even though it’s our toughest cover glass yet, it still delivers the damage resistance, optical clarity, and touch sensitivity Gorilla® Glass is famous for." - www.corning.com
With Samsung Galaxy Note7 equipped with the "Corning Gorilla Glass 5" doesn't mean that it is shatter proof, however, the probability that the Note7 be damaged or destroyed by hand-level drop is significantly reduced. Consequently, the Galaxy Note7's chance of surviving such drops is very high with very little or minimal damage.
Connectivity
The Samsung Galaxy Note7 can be connected through microUSB. It also comes with a USB Type-C port - a first for a Samsung phone. While there is USB 3.0 which is way faster, the Note7 is still stucked with the microUSB 2.0 which has slower transfer rate. However, the Galaxy Note7's Type-C usb connectivity comes with a standard TV-out display port which makes it readily available to connect on any TV set with HDMI connectivity.
Galaxy Note7 does also have outstanding wireless connectivity. From WiFi to Long-Term Evolution (LTE) connectivity. The WiFi is very fast with speeds at 620mbps, thanks to the 2x2 MIMO and 802.11ac. The LTE connectivity will either be at LTE cat. 9, 10 or 12. However, who knows if the internet service provider or your carrier will be able to support such internet speeds.
The Note7 is also equipped with the latest Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou.

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 is equipped with a 3500mAh battery. A device with a 5.7" screen size?, it is doubtful if the Galaxy Note7's juice will last long. However, the Note7 is equipped with a bunch of power saving modes. From Mid to Max power saving mode, separate Game power saving mode and manual power saving modes such as reducing screen resolution and screen brightness. With these bunch of power saving features, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 sure gonna last long enough before the next charging time. As much as battery charging is concerned, the Note7 is equipped with a fast charging feature as well as wireless charging, making it as always "on the go" device.
Performance
The Samsung Galaxy Note7 chipset comes in two versions. One with an Exynos 8890 chipset and the other with Snapdragon 820. Both with the same 4gb of RAM. The Exynos 8890 chipset will be used for the international version while the Snapdragon 820 will be used for the regions of North America and China. There are some rumors that the RAM of the Chinese version will be of 6gb of RAM but that remains to be seen. It is also rumored that the Chinese version of the Samsung Galaxy Note7 with the 6gb of RAM will not be available for the International market.
Camera
The Camera of the Samsung Galaxy Note7 comes with an all new and improved user interface. The 12 mega pixel camera sensor with an aspect ratio of 4:3 has a remarkable Dual Pixel Autofocus technology. The Galaxy Note7 camera is equiped with an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) , now a standard for flagship phones and with a bright F1.7 aperture. The OIS helps reduce shaky video results.
Shooting modes
- Pro Mode
- RAW Mode
- Normal Mode
- Auto HDR Mode
Video Camera
The camera can record videos at 2160p at 30fps (frames per second) and at 1080p at 60fps. The Samsung Galaxy Note7 is also capable of recording videos at 240 frames per second but at a lower video resolution of 720p. It is also capable of recording videos at top of 4K resolution. 4K recorded videos are richly detailed with which when viewed in large screens are awesome.
